BACK
TO BACK...3/15/08
Charlie
Youngers
wins his second tournament in a row, weighing in 5-fish
for 12.26lbs. Charlie said, "that he caught 3 limits
of fish but just could not get the big bite." Clermont
was like the previous tournament on East Lake, in that we
were fishing post spawn fish, and the majority of the fish
caught were males, according to Charlie. Congratulations
Charlie! We will miss you in May! (inside joke)
Mark
Beasley
came in second place with 3-fish that weighed -in at 9.48lbs.
Mark had Big Bass for the tournament that weighed in at
7.13lbs. He was fishing with Mr. Big Bass form last year
Joe Bloodsworth. Joe said, "I like to share the big
girls with my non-boater occasionally." Mark is currently
in 2nd place in the clubs overall standings and holds Big
Bass for the year so far.
Davis
Taylor
came to the scales with 5-fish that weighed -in at 9.42lbs.
Davis is the only member to weigh-in
a limit of fish in each of our first 3 tournaments. He
is currently tied for 2nd place in the clubs overall standings.
Congratulations Davis!!!!
The
post tournament fishing report:
like our pervious tournament on East Lake, the fish were
in post spawn for the most part. Our anglers caught their
fish using Jerk baits, Lizards, Senkos, Spinner baits, and
Flukes. The weather was cloudy with winds 15-20. Water temp
67-70.
HE'S
BACK...2/9/08
Charlie
Youngers
made his return to TBM on East Lake Toho with his first
win in 08. He came to the scales with a 5 fish limit that
weighed-in @ 12.86lbs. He also took Big Bass honors with
a 3.80lb. fish. Charlie has suffered a long and slow recovery
from an illness he came down with post back surgery. After
the club tournament, ,Charlie said, " I am feeling
better but I am not 100% yet." Congratulations and
welcome back Charlie.
Joe
Bloodworth
is back in a big way to start this tournament season off.
Joe came to the scales with a 5 fish limit that weighed-
in at 9.90lbs. Joe is currently in first place in the club
standings and leads in all categories. Great job, HERO!
Bruce
Frucci
(past angler of the year) has not showed up in the winner's
circle in some time. On this day he had a 5 fish limit that
weighed in @ 8.69lbs. Congratulations Bruce. Bill Sipe once
said, "Just call him LUCKY".
The
post tournament fishing report:
some of the bigger females have already spawned and were
recovering in deeper water. They should began to feed again
soon. Most of what we caught were males. A wide variety
of baits were used successfully by our anglers; however,
most were in the plastics category,( including worms, creature
baits, frogs, and flukes). The weather was frontal conditions,
(with calm winds in the morning and blowing winds and clouds
later, as the front came threw around noon). Water temp:
66-68. The spawning areas on the lake should hold active
fish over the coming months. Look for the females to began
feeding again soon.
NON-BOATER
S RULE ON TOHO 1/19/08
Mike
Lively
announces his return to TBM with a first place finish on
Toho. Mike had a five fish limit that weighed-in at 10.21lbs.
Mike also took Big Bass with a 3.56lber. Fishing as a non-boater,
Mike takes the early lead for angler of the year.
Mark
Beasley
finishes in second place with a five fish limit that weighed-in
@7.54lbs. Mark has shown in past tournaments that fishing
from the back of the boat can keep your boater partner busy
handling the job of netting your fish.
Representing
the Boaters: Davis Taylor places
third with a five fish limit that weighed in @ 7.35lbs.
Known as "Mr. Humble" Davis will tell you he gets
lucky every once in a while, and most of us would agree
with that statement.
Did
Jim Miller fish Toho?
